Technical features of the Ghost Bareback Cavallin treeless saddles
The Ghost Bareback models offer a Flex approach, providing maximum spinal clearance and high sensitivity. Specifically, this Cavallin saddle features:
- Treeless structure (pad-based), completely flexible;
- No rigid gullet channel: the included saddle pad already contains shims that distribute weight to the sides of the spine and can be opened to insert custom padding (recommended for light use on horses with strong backs);
- Minimal weight, which enhances the rider's balance and independence;
- Maximum perception of the horse's movement;
- Natural and narrow twist, designed to improve balance and posture;
- Stirrup compatibility, with attachments that can be positioned according to your needs;
- Removable knee blocks under the seat for added stability;
- High adaptability, thanks to the structure's ability to mold itself to the horse's back.
This configuration ensures total freedom of movement, but requires a high-quality pad (which is supplied with the saddle) to protect the horse's back during use.
When to choose a Cavallin treeless Bareback saddle
The Ghost Bareback is particularly suitable if:
- you desire total connection and immediate sensitivity with the horse;
- your horse has a well-muscled back, capable of supporting a fully flexible saddle;
- you work in short sessions, responsiveness exercises, or activities to improve balance and posture;
- you are looking for a seat that promotes natural stability and independent balance;
- you practice natural horsemanship, groundwork, or light trekking;
- you want to achieve the feel of bareback riding, but with more balanced support compared to traditional bareback pads.
Great flexibility does not mean instability: often, precisely because the structure conforms to the back, the Bareback remains more secure and centered.
Usage limits of a Cavallin treeless Bareback saddle
Ghost Cavallin Bareback saddles perform best in light and technical use. They are not recommended for:
- horses with poorly developed dorsal musculature that require greater weight distribution.
