The Purosangue Piuma Naked saddle represents the excellence of Italian equestrian craftsmanship applied to high-level endurance and equestrian tourism disciplines. This technical saddle is built on a rigid 14.5-inch (37 cm) tree, perfectly balancing extreme lightness and structural stability.

Specifically designed for the sitting canter of endurance riding, the Purosangue line is ideal for Arabian or English Thoroughbred horses, including individuals with a prominent wither. Conversely, its use is not recommended for horses with a round conformation.

Unlike traditional endurance saddles, the Purosangue system eliminates interference between the rider's position and the horse's movement thanks to specific innovations:

• Direct contact and stability: the billets are connected in such a way as to stabilize the position without creating rigid pressure points on the ribs. This allows the tree to follow the flexion of the back even during prolonged canter or gallop.
• No bulk: the saddle is completely without flaps. The system is reduced to the essential to maintain the record-breaking "Piuma" profile of only 2.6 kg, ensuring that the rider's leg remains in direct contact with the horse's ribs.
• Low-profile position: a design engineered to lower the center of gravity of the pair and maximize sensitivity.
• Hybrid-saddle system: the load-bearing structure acts as an active shock-absorbing cushion, perfectly integrating you with the horse's morphology.
• Leg optimization: the absence of unnecessary padding under the seat ensures immediate, precise contact of the aids, without any "suspension" effect.

Breathability and new Purosangue Piuma seat technologies

The health of the horse's back is guaranteed by the design of the rigid shell, which is open along the spine to allow continuous ventilation and complete relief of the spinal column. For the rider, the seat is made exclusively of full-grain leather, designed to offer the ultimate close-contact feeling with the horse without compromising on stability.

Evolution and back protection: the protective panels under the tree are removable and interchangeable via a high-grip Velcro system (derived from Ghost saddles), available in thicknesses of 1 cm, 1.5 cm or 2 cm (Panel Thickness). The external finish of the panels is no longer restricted to fixed white or black colors, but coordinates with the main selected texture in full-grain leather or micronappa.

The saddle is built to last: each part of the external cover can be replaced individually in case of wear. Furthermore, thanks to the versatility of the new design, it is possible to cover the Naked shell with an extra protective cover (for example, in sheepskin or technical materials), which can be applied quickly and securely directly over the structure.
