EquiSaddle Warranty and Support

At EquiSaddle, we select only handcrafted saddles Ghost and Purosangue made in Italy to the highest quality standards. Purchasing one of our saddles is an investment in time and the well-being of your horse, and our warranty policy is designed to protect this value with maximum transparency.

1. Duration and Scope of the Warranty

Under the Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005), every saddle purchased on equisaddle.com is covered by a 24-month Legal Warranty for defects in conformity and manufacturing existing at the time of delivery.

  • Structural Components (Tree and Cantle): The load-bearing structure of the saddle is guaranteed for 2 years. In the event of structural failures or breakages not resulting from accidents, we commit to repairing or replacing the component.

  • Mechanical Parts and Fittings: Attachments, screws, and components of the Purosangue line or Ghost bases are covered by warranty against latent manufacturing defects.

2. Operation of the Warranty and Burden of Proof

To offer you maximum protection and prompt intervention, we apply the following criteria:

  • Within the first 12 months: Any defect that manifests within a year from delivery is presumed to exist "from the origin." In this case, the burden of proving that the damage is not a manufacturing defect lies with the seller/manufacturer.

  • From the 13th to the 24th month: The warranty remains fully valid, but as required by law, it is up to the buyer to prove that the defect found is of a manufacturing nature and not resulting from wear, neglect, or improper use.

3. Exclusions: Natural Wear and Maintenance

The saddle is a technical tool exposed to friction, sweat, and weather conditions. The warranty does not cover:

  • Natural wear of materials: Leather, nubuck, and synthetic materials are subject to mechanical wear (rubbing of the stirrups, contact with pants) and discoloration due to sunlight or the horse's acidic sweat. Such phenomena are considered normal aging of the product.

  • Negligence in care: The warranty is void if the damage is caused by poor maintenance (failure to clean or hydrate the leather with suitable products) or improper storage (damp places or extreme temperatures).

  • Accidental damage or improper use: Damage from falls, bites from the horse, or unauthorized structural modifications are not covered.

4. Decay Clause (Interventions by Third Parties)

To ensure the structural safety of the saddle, any repair or modification carried out by unauthorized personnel or external saddlers results in the immediate voiding of the warranty. Only certified Ghost and Purosangue technicians are authorized to intervene on the internal structure.

5. Customized and Tailor-Made Products

Please note that for saddles configured to order (colors, materials, and technical specifications chosen through our configurator), under Article 59 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal for reconsideration is excluded. However, the legal warranty remains intact in case of manufacturing defects.

How to Request Assistance

If you encounter an anomaly, follow this procedure for quick management:

  1. Send a report to info@equisaddle.com indicating the order number.

  2. Attach clear photos of the alleged defect and the saddle as a whole.

  3. Our technical team will evaluate the case with the manufacturer and provide you with instructions for shipping for assessment or repair.
