The Ghost short flap saddle pad is the standard structural accessory specifically designed to fit all short flap Ghost saddle models, for trail riding or endurance (such as the Quevis, Florac, Quilty, Puro, and Puro Plus models).

Its compact shape still ensures an ideal length to cover the girth strap area.

Materials and thermoregulation

This saddle pad combines advanced technical materials to offer excellent protection and effective moisture management, which is essential in endurance disciplines such as endurance and trail riding:

• Airshell fabric top: a highly breathable alveolar technical material provided as standard. Its three-dimensional structure facilitates continuous air circulation under the saddle, quickly dissipating accumulated heat and reducing back sweating.
• Bottom material (available options for the lining in contact with the hair):
  • Shaved wool: the standard option provided as standard that offers a soft, natural, and hygienic contact on the horse's back, with excellent sweat absorption capacity.
  • Sympanova: a soft, breathable, and hygienic rubber compound, extremely easy to clean and wash after intensive use.
  • Wool blend: available to order in black or white color options.
  • Vella synthetic lambskin: a soft synthetic alternative designed to reduce friction.
  • Medicinal sheepskin: a premium finish for the most sensitive skins, available either as a full version for short flaps or located exclusively in the area under the pockets.

Corrective system with inserts

In treeless saddles, the saddle pad plays an active role in distributing the rider's weight. This model features easy-open lateral pockets provided with internal foam panels, essential for creating the central spinal channel and ensuring total freedom of the horse's spine.

The system allows for additional shimming to optimize the saddle's balance according to the following technical guidelines:

• With a medicinal sheepskin bottom: the use of 1 cm inserts is recommended, unless the rider's weight exceeds 185 lbs (approx. 84 kg).
• With other bottom materials: the use of 1 cm inserts is equally recommended, unless the rider's weight exceeds 165 lbs (approx. 75 kg) or the horse's spine is already structurally well protected and prominent.

The short flap saddle pad is produced in three size variants to cover the entire range, including pony and youth models:

• Child: specifically shaped for youth lines and pony models.
• Small: 62 x 50 cm
• Large: 67 x 50 cm

Colors and availability

The airshell top fabric can be customized by choosing from a wide range of color variants: black, brown, lilac, burgundy, navy blue, bright blue, red, white, olive green, and beige (please check the color chart in the photo to choose the desired code).

• Note on availability: standard stock mainly includes the black color option in combination with the various bottom materials. All other color variants and specific customizations are manufactured and imported to order directly from the Ghost artisan workshop in Italy, guaranteeing the authenticity of the official channel.
